Where are the boomer bistros?
I always enjoy Calendar Weekend and read everything about where to go in L.A. and surrounding areas. But I wish there were places for people in their 40s, 50s and 60s and up who are not dead yet and still want to go out. All of the places featured in the papers seem to be for young, hip people. I never see lounges with baby boomers in them.
Baby boomers have lots of money to spend, but I just know we are not going to walk into some shiny bistro filled with thirtysomethings and feel comfortable. But we would still like to hang out somewhere, sip martinis and listen to all kinds of music, including jazz, rock ‘n’ roll and blues.
