* at San Diego 3, Florida 1: David Wells didn’t give up a run for the first time this year while holding Florida to five hits and striking out a season-high six in 6 2/3 innings.
* at Colorado 6, New York 2: Matt Holliday homered and Jason Hirsh threw six shutout innings before spraining his right ankle. Hirsh was injured on a pickoff attempt and was lifted for a pinch-runner. The team said he’s day to day.
* at St. Louis 11, Arizona 3: Albert Pujols hit a tiebreaking, two-run single in the seventh inning and Scott Rolen had four runs batted in for the Cardinals.
* at Houston 7, Philadelphia 5: Hunter Pence hit a two-run homer and the Astros scored twice in the seventh inning on bases-loaded walks.
* Chicago 7, at Washington 2: Alfonso Soriano had two hits, a run, an RBI and a stolen base for the Cubs in his return to Washington.
* Milwaukee 10, at Pittsburgh 3: Manager Jim Tracy, his team 12 games under .500, heard numerous boos when he went to the mound to replace pitchers during the game.
* at Dodgers 8, Atlanta 2: Matt Kemp had three RBIs and Russell Martin had a career-high four hits.
