WEST COAST CONFERENCE
Loyola Marymount (9-13, 1-5) at St. Mary’s (12-10, 4-2), 7 -- The Lions ended an eight-game losing streak in style Saturday, upsetting conference co-leader Santa Clara, 74-71, behind a 60.9% shooting performance. It was their first road victory since Nov. 29, a span of seven games. The Gaels started the weekend tied for first in the conference, but lost to Pepperdine on Saturday, ending a four-game winning streak. They are 10-3 at home.
Pepperdine (6-16, 2-4) at Santa Clara (14-7, 4-2) 8, ESPNU -- The Waves have won consecutive games for the first time this season and both have come on the road. The back-to-back victories over Loyola Marymount and St. Mary’s followed a season-high six-game losing streak. Santa Clara is coming off an upset loss to Loyola Marymount that ended a three-game winning streak. They are giving up 62.1 points a game, which leads the conference. Pepperdine is averaging 78.1, second in the WCC.
