Domingo the baritone? Renowned opera tenor Placido Domingo will sing baritone for the first time in 2009, realizing a long-held ambition to sing the title role in Verdi’s “Simon Boccanegra,” his representatives said Friday. He’ll perform the opera in Berlin and Milan, Italy, and in 2010 in London, but will go back to tenor afterward.
