Pasadena City College President James Kossler plans to step down June 30, his office announced Tuesday.
“After 40 years in education, 19 years with PCC and 12 years as president, I think it is time to move on to another stage in my life,” Kossler said in a statement. He said he had no immediate plans but wanted to enjoy travel and other leisure activities.
A nationwide search for his replacement is expected to begin next month, with the college’s trustees and other campus leaders anticipating naming Kossler’s successor by early July.
