Annenberg Foundation moving to new digs

Along with the Creative Artists Agency, the Annenberg Foundation will soon set up shop in the new 2000 Avenue of the Stars office building, which had its official opening Thursday evening on the site of the former Shubert Theatre and the ABC Entertainment complex.

Annenberg will also play another role: The foundation will line up and run programming for the 10,000-square-foot cultural pavilion that Trammell Crow Co. was required to build as part of the project.

A foundation officer said the organization planned to create programs that will complement the region’s existing institutions. “We hope to create something that doesn’t already exist,” the officer said.
