Diana du Pont, curator of modern and contemporary art at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, has resigned to pursue other opportunities in curatorial work, writing and teaching.
During her 15-year tenure, Du Pont expanded and reorganized the museum’s collections of European, American and Latin American art. She also organized many major exhibitions, including “Tamayo: A Modern Icon Reinterpreted,” which opened last spring in Santa Barbara, has moved on to the Miami Art Museum and will conclude this fall at the Museo Tamayo Arte Contemporáneo in Mexico City.
