Dobbs’ role on CNN to expand

Missed Lou Dobbs during the week? Beginning Oct. 28, CNN is going to be running taped highlights of “Lou Dobbs Tonight” on Saturdays and Sundays, when it will air at 3 p.m. as “Lou Dobbs This Week.”
The programs will have some fresh news analysis taped on Friday.
The longtime financial news anchor, who has gained traction with his populist critiques of illegal immigration and the exporting of U.S. jobs abroad, is also slated to play a prominent role in CNN’s election coverage.
