5 Chinese Muslim Prisoners Get Asylum

The U.S. said it had flown five Chinese Muslim men who had been held at its Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, prison to asylum in Albania, declining to send them back to China because they might face persecution.
Many Uighurs in China’s far west seek greater autonomy or independence.
