Man is shot to death in Los Angeles

A man was shot to death on Christmas night outside his apartment in Silver Lake, authorities said.
The man, whose name was not released, was shot in the head on the 2800 block of Riverside Drive about 6 p.m., said Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. Arthur Reyna.
The victim was discovered lying near his parked car by a friend who had been inside his apartment, Reyna said.
