High winds were blamed for several power outages Friday morning that left 19,000 customers, mostly on the Westside, without electricity for much of the day.
Los Angeles Department of Water and Power customers in Brentwood, Bel-Air and Westwood were still without electricity Friday afternoon, according to a DWP official.
Outages were also experienced in Hollywood, Los Feliz and parts of the San Fernando Valley, including Mission Hills and North Hollywood, the official said.
Nearly 40 crews were working to restore the power, she said.
