Re “The high-flying Ducks just aren’t on our radar,” Dec. 18
L.A. fans not embracing the Orange County team is front- page news? Most of us in L.A. have little or no reason to ever go to Orange County, let alone to be fans of a hockey team playing in a league that is itself not very popular anymore. If location were the issue, then why are there still so many Raiders and Rams fans in L.A.?

This story discussed how the Ducks aren’t popular despite their recent success. As a Ducks fan, I am starved for articles in the paper about the Ducks, and this problem is perpetuated (by The Times) by burying reports of Duck historic wins on Page 7 of the Sports section. I know The Times is not based in Orange County and would rather headline another Kings’ loss over a Ducks’ victory, but if you want to cater to your local Orange County audiences, you need to be part of the solution and not the problem.
