Re “State ranks low in health disaster readiness,” Dec. 13
I am surprised to see that California is among the few states least prepared for a pandemic flu outbreak. This is frightening and should be a wake-up call for our government to do something about this problem before it becomes an even bigger issue.
It is scary to think that if some kind of disaster were to happen in California, we would not be well prepared with vaccines and enough hospital beds. It is time for everyone to wake up and learn something from past mistakes (Hurricane Katrina, for an example) and fix this problem before it is too late.
