Rene Syler, co-host of CBS’ “The Early Show,” is leaving the network this month, CBS officials announced Monday.
Syler, a onetime anchor of the CBS affiliate in Dallas, has co-hosted the network’s morning program since October 2002. She plans to devote herself to other projects, including the publication of her book, “Good Enough Mother: The Perfectly Imperfect Book of Parenting,” coming out this spring, she said in a statement. Her last appearance on the show will be Dec. 22.
Syler’s departure leaves the third-place show with four co-hosts. There was no immediate word on whether she will be replaced.
