$35-Million Fire Blamed on Children, Matches

A runaway fire that caused an estimated $35 million in damage and left dozens homeless in remote Hooper Bay was sparked by children playing with matches, authorities said. The Aug. 3 blaze destroyed two schools, 14 homes, a community store and other structures across 15 acres.
