Re “Beholders Object to ‘Beauty,’ ” Aug. 9
I understand the official unveiling of the Veterans Affairs gateway sign “Beauty, Honor, Country” was a closed event, officials and press only. Resident veterans and the public were not invited because of “security concerns.” Why the secrecy? Were they ashamed of what they were doing?
