Police Identify Man, 73, Killed Crossing Street
Police on Thursday identified a man killed the day before while crossing the street with his grandson.
Crisoforo Calles Gutierrez, 73, was on 5th Street east of Susan Street with Gregorio Cruz Gutierrez, 4, when both were hit by a 1990 Ford Taurus on Wednesday afternoon.
Crisoforo Gutierrez died at UCI Medical Center in Orange, where the child remained Thursday in serious but stable condition.
The accident is under investigation, said Lt. Joe Kahapea, a spokesman for the Santa Ana Police Department.
