A Whittier man was charged Tuesday with two felony counts stemming from a collision in the City of Industry that killed a California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer.
Rudy S. Lopez, 26, pleaded not guilty to two felony counts, including murder of a police officer, in a West Covina courtroom.
Authorities said Lopez killed CHP Officer David Romero, 47, Friday morning when he rammed the father of five at high speed as he was sitting on his motorcycle at the intersection of Turnbull Canyon Road and Valley Boulevard.
