Re “Gov. Says He’ll Run Again to Push Reforms,” Sept. 17
I cannot thank Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger enough for agreeing to run for reelection. Voting against him will truly be a memory of unforgettable great pleasure!

I laughed out loud after reading another one of Arnold’s glib one-liners when he announced his campaign for reelection as governor.
“In the movie business,” Schwarzenegger said, “we call this the sequel.” Does Arnold know how well sequels and remakes are doing in Hollywood these days?

Please enlighten me. What are the reforms Schwarzenegger has brought to the state, except making Gray Davis look like a piker by accepting special interest money from anyone and everyone? He’s supposed to be a wealthy man who wouldn’t need to accept gratuities from everyone except, perhaps, the steroid interests.

This just in: Our corporate-kissing governor backs Prop. 75 (Sept. 18)! The unions will have to get permission to use member dues for campaign financing, while the corporations have carte blanche. However, if the proposition were to pass, I don’t think the teachers unions would have any trouble getting permission to use dues money against the likes of Schwarzenegger.
