Police Thwart Mosque Rally; 38 Islamists Held

Police arrested 38 supporters of an Islamist party attempting to demonstrate at a mosque where Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan was participating in Friday prayers, the state-run Anatolian news agency said.
The party Hizb ut-Tahrir is banned in Turkey, a predominantly Muslim nation with a secular government.
