From Times Staff and Wire Reports
The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear the appeal of a former Orange County judge being tried on charges of possessing child pornography
The decision sends the case against Ronald Kline, 64, back to the Los Angeles federal court where the case is being heard.
In pretrial motions, the defense had argued that Kline’s privacy had been violated when a Canadian computer hacker downloaded child pornography from Kline’s computer. Kline, who pleaded innocent, has been under house arrest since he was charged in 2001.
