27 Police Charged in Drug Trade or Slayings

Prosecutors charged 27 state, federal and local police in Cancun, Mexico, with running a drug ring or aiding in the slayings of fellow officers. Eight were charged with homicide or being accessories to homicide in connection with the slayings of three federal agents whose bodies, along with two civilians, were found Nov. 25.
Twenty-five, including some of those charged with homicide, were facing organized-crime and drug-trafficking charges.
