CEO Optimism Drops in Quarter, Survey Finds

Corporate executives’ confidence in the U.S. economy slipped in the fourth quarter, suggesting growth might slow this year, a Conference Board survey found.
The New York research group’s measure of sentiment among chief executives of U.S. companies fell to 61 from 63 in the third quarter. A gauge of current conditions versus those of six months ago fell to 61 from 66.
Readings of more than 50 signal there were more positive responses than negative.
