2002 Simon Bize & Fils Savigny-les-Beaune ‘Les Bourgeots’
- Share via
When the weather’s like this it’s tempting to stay in, put some music on, slip a chicken into the oven with some new potatoes and whole garlic cloves, and pop the cork on an easygoing Burgundy like this one from Savigny-les-Beaune producer Simon Bize.
Dark ruby in color, the 2002 “Les Bourgeots” is a very pretty wine, redolent of earth and ripe dark fruit. Tannins are soft and silky, the better to show off that fowl. No waiting on this bottle: Buy it and drink it now.
Your chicken will thank you.
