Alan Bergman, Walt Disney Studios’ top business strategist and operations executive, has been promoted to president.
Bergman will add business and legal affairs, as well as human resources, to responsibilities that now include finance and technology.
He will continue reporting to Dick Cook, the studio’s chairman.
Bergman joined the studio in 1996. He helped structure Disney’s settlement with Bob and Harvey Weinstein when they left Miramax Film Corp. and designed a new business plan for the specialty movie unit.
