Screens for some?

Re “Flyspecks No More,” by Libby Slate, Sept. 7: I enjoyed the Hollywood Bowl’s Aug. 11 Latin Jazz concert from garden box seats and observed an interesting phenomenon. Despite their close proximity to the stage, many of the center garden box seat holders were turned toward the large video screens. How strange for the musicians to see so many people looking toward the right or left instead of directly toward the stage.
But the people in the bleachers can only benefit from the large screens as they are too far back to enjoy any intimacy with the musicians on stage. Perhaps the answer is to keep the screens for the people farther back and let go of the front screens.
