Neighborhood Council’s Election Under Fire

Community members in Venice violated their bylaws while planning for an election for board members last June, according to a report issued this week by the city’s Human Relations Commission.
The commission recommended that the election be thrown out, leaving the council without a board of directors. This is only the second time such an action has been recommended for a neighborhood council.
