Reports: Wannstedt Is Expected to Quit

With the Miami Dolphins at 1-8, Coach Dave Wannstedt was expected to resign today, according to reports late Monday on the Miami Herald’s website and two South Florida television stations. A third TV station, WTVJ, said Wannstedt already had resigned.
Wannstedt met Monday night at the team’s complex with team owner Wayne Huizenga, who confirmed an announcement would be made today.
“Dave called me and we got together, but I’m not going to comment at this point,” Huizenga said.
