Wal-Mart’s Jobs at Small Businesses’ Expense

Regarding “Report: Wal-Mart Will Create Jobs,” Jan. 28:
The extra sales tax revenue that some cities think they will receive is at the expense of small businesses that generate that tax now.
The jobs generated by Wal-Mart Stores Inc. only take the place of other jobs lost by Wal-Mart’s presence, and at a lesser rate of pay.
