For all of us commuters who spend hours each month on the road in Los Angeles traffic, the hours spent with Joe McDonnell and Doug Krikorian make the drive go much more quickly (“Sports Talk’s Irascible 1-2 Punch,” by Paul Brownfield, Feb. 1). In fact, there are many times when I keep the car running in the garage when I get home to finish listening to one of their many passionate debates on who is the best, etc, etc.
Your article hit the nail on the head as far as Joe and Doug being one of “us” -- longtime Los Angeles sports fans. They know the history, they have been there, and it is nice to have someone else understand what it is like to have Georgia F. steal the Rams from us, the good old days of the Dodgers, the debates on which Laker team was the best, and the wonderfulness of the Angels’ first World Series. Keep it up Joe and Doug!
