This Event Was X-actly What the City Needed

It seemed just like old times at Staples Center last weekend.

There was a boisterous, sellout crowd cheering on the athletes who gave us our money’s worth of high-flying thrills, and the competition was incredible. The athletes were fan friendly. All the way home, my kid couldn’t stop talking about what was better, the great action or the down-to-earth kindness of the participants.

Thank goodness for the X Games. You didn’t think I was talking about the regular participants in Staples Center, those highly paid spoiled pros, did you?

P.S. Did I mention affordable tickets?
