Getting Both Sides of the Water Issue
One of the attempts to keep Amy’s Kitchen here in California (“Governor’s Staying Power,” March 26) centers around the cost of water for business and, according to the article, Modesto is one of the areas in the state where the cost of water is similar to Oregon’s.
Or should I say “was.” In the same paper, in the California section in the Inland Empire Edition, is a small article saying that the Modesto City Council “is getting ready to implement a plan that will raise water rates by more than 100%.”
I guess this illustrates why doing business in California is so complicated.
I love reading the L.A. Times cover to cover. I get both sides of a story!
