New Orleans rapper C-Murder has been given a life sentence after being convicted Tuesday of second-degree murder in the shooting last year of a 16-year-old boy during a nightclub fight.
C-Murder (real name Corey Miller) is the younger brother of rapper Percy Miller Jr., a.k.a. Master P. Their father, Percy Miller Sr., said the family would appeal. “My son didn’t do that,” he said.
As C-Murder, Miller first emerged as a member of the rap trio Tru, then put out four solo albums that have sold more than 2 million copies in the U.S. Among the titles: “Life or Death” and “Trapped in Crime.”
