From Times Wire Reports
Mexican immigration authorities in Tijuana detained two Iraqi citizens and an alleged immigrant trafficker who was trying to smuggle them into the U.S., local media reported.
The men were not apparently linked to any radical groups but intended to seek political asylum in the U.S., the newspaper El Universal said. The men were carrying apparently false travel documents, Baja California state officials said. Mexican immigration authorities weren’t immediately available to confirm the report.
