EarthLink Loss Narrows as Sales Rise

EarthLink Inc., the third-largest U.S. Internet-access service, said its fourth-quarter loss narrowed to $32.9 million as more customers signed up for its high-speed Web service.
Its per-share loss was 24 cents. The year-earlier loss was $73.9 million, or 55 cents. Revenue rose 6.3% to $347.9 million.
EarthLink has been trying to sign up more customers for fast Internet connections.
The Atlanta company has been seeking to reduce operating expenses, including cutting jobs.
EarthLink shares fell 22 cents to $5.75 on Nasdaq.
