Gallegly to Head New House Subcommittee

Rep. Elton Gallegly (R-Simi Valley) will chair the new House subcommittee on international terrorism, nonproliferation and human rights.
Gallegly was appointed to the position by Rep. Henry J. Hyde (R-Ill.), chairman of the International Relations Committee.
As chairman, Gallegly will spearhead the panel’s efforts to monitor international terrorism, nuclear nonproliferation and human rights issues.
Gallegly will remain a member of the House Judiciary Committee and Resources Committee.
The new subcommittee replaces a panel on international operations and human rights.
