UCLA (12-8, 7-4) at USC (10-12, 5-6), Sports Arena, 4 p.m., KMPC (1540) -- When the teams met on Jan. 12, UCLA was in the midst of a seven-game winning streak and USC had lost five of six. The Bruins prevailed in that game, 72-64, and are going for their first sweep of the season series since the 1999-2000 season. But the fortunes are reversed; the Trojans have won five of six, including last week’s 89-36 thrashing of Washington State. UCLA has lost four of five.

Cal State Fullerton (6-14, 4-6) at UC Irvine (12-7, 6-4), 7 p.m., KUCI-FM (88.9) -- Who’s the best center in the conference, Pape Sow of Fullerton or Adam Parada of UC Irvine? Both are projected as future NBA selections. Sow was sitting out an 11-game suspension when Fullerton surprised Irvine a month ago in overtime, 66-65. Parada scored 25 points and had 11 rebounds. Fullerton, which has lost six of its last seven overall, is 1-8 with Sow in the lineup.
Idaho (9-10, 5-5) at UC Santa Barbara (10-10, 7-3), 7, KEYT (1250) -- The Vandals have won three of four, losing only to conference co-leader Utah State by four. Aside from a stunning one-point loss at Long Beach last week, Santa Barbara, which has won six of eight, also has been hot. The Gauchos climbed into a first-place tie with Utah State in the Big West Conference standings Thursday by beating the visiting Aggies, 62-50. Santa Barbara won at Idaho, 62-53, on Jan. 9.
Pacific (11-7, 6-3) at Cal State Northridge (9-10, 3-6), 7 -- Pacific, which has won three in a row, has rebounded nicely from last month’s three-game losing streak. In victories over Riverside and Fullerton, guard Demetrius Jackson made 12 of 21 field goal attempts, seven of 11 three-point shots and 15 of 17 free throws. Pacific won the first meeting, 67-59.
UC Riverside (4-12, 3-7) at Long Beach State (4-15, 3-7), 7, KPRO (1570) -- After a home loss to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo 10 days ago, first-year Coach Larry Reynolds said he was concerned that Long Beach might not win another game. But tonight the 49ers have a realistic chance of making it three consecutive victories. The Highlanders have only one road win. Riverside beat visiting Long Beach, 77-73, Jan. 9.
