Defendant Testifies on Running Over Husband

A dentist who killed her adulterous husband with a Mercedes-Benz wept as she testified she was trying to smash his lover’s sport utility vehicle, saying, “I think I closed my eyes.”
“After that, I didn’t know who was driving,” Clara Harris, 45, said at her Houston murder trial. “Everything seemed like a dream.”
Prosecutors say Harris intentionally ran down her husband in July after confronting him at a hotel with his lover. A medical examiner has testified the man was run over at least twice.
