A gender-age gap

Kenneth TURAN totally misses the point when he claims in his review of “Something’s Gotta Give” [“A Plot Against Them,” Dec. 12] that director-writer Nancy Meyers making the relationship between a “63-year-old man and a fiftysomething woman [is] no big deal in the real world.” Say what? Obviously Turan hasn’t consulted any of his fiftysomething women friends lately or I’m sure they would have set him straight, because it is very difficult to find a 60-something-year-old man interested in a woman in her 50s. This is precisely why “Something’s Gotta Give” is truly a groundbreaking movie.
