Thousand Oaks’ Web Site Offers Maps
Calling it a Ventura County first, Thousand Oaks has enhanced its Web site to allow people to view maps of real estate in town. They can also see how assessor’s parcels and other maps look when overlaid on a recent aerial photograph of the area.
The system, available at www.toaks.org/living/mapguide.asp, can be used for preliminary inquiries about property and to examine open space trails in the city, along with other research.
City officials stress the maps are only for information and caution that decisions should not be based on this data rather than official documents.
