State Approves Proposal to Expand Landfill

A state board approved Santa Barbara County’s request for a 15-year expansion of the Tajiguas landfill on the Gaviota coast.
The California Integrated Waste Management Board gave its unanimous approval Wednesday to the expansion of the dump near the seaside community of Arroyo Quemada.
