Student Awarded Film Workshop Scholarship

A Foothill Technology High School student is the first recipient of a local arts foundation scholarship to study film production at Ventura’s Brooks Institute of Photography.
Adan Jimenez, 16, was awarded the $750 scholarship at this week’s Ventura Unified School District board meeting. The award will fund his tuition for a weeklong workshop this summer.
Adan was among top art students nominated for the scholarship by principals at five Ventura high schools, said Terence Ragan, vice chairman of the San Buenaventura Foundation for the Arts.
