Elvis Slightings

Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed the article on the 17th annual Elvis Birthday Bash at the House of Blues (“Behold the Many Moods of Elvis,” by Randy Lewis, Jan. 8). But a couple of things were overlooked that should be mentioned.
The article failed to mention the founder, Art Fein, who works all year to make the fun happen. But the real oversight was not noting the first-time addition of an emcee, the great Fred Willard. He not only kept the between-act patter lively, he opened with an Elvis song tribute himself. We hope he becomes a regular addition to one of L.A.’s most memorable nights. Long live the King!
