From Times Wire Reports
The California Supreme Court cleared the way for destruction of the second of two dogs that killed a woman outside her apartment door last year.
Justices refused to grant a reprieve to Hera, a Presa Canario that has been in city custody. The other dog, Bane, was put to death immediately after the attack.
A hearing officer ordered Hera be destroyed, but an animal rights lawyer appealed and was supported by the couple who kept the dogs, Robert Noel and Marjorie Knoller.
