Downgraded Juliette Pounds Baja Resorts

From Times Wire Reports
Juliette pounded tourist resorts at the tip of the Baja California peninsula even as its winds fell below hurricane strength.
Stalled over the area, Juliette--now a tropical storm--smashed docks, ripped off roofs and tossed uprooted trees into flooded streets with its 70-mph winds.
About 800 people were evacuated in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, but there were no new reports of major injuries. Juliette killed two people this week farther south in Mexico.
The storm was expected to edge up the Baja California coastline.
