ATTACK
U.S. warplanes began daylight bombing of Taliban targets in Afghanistan. Northern Alliance generals are increasingly critical of the U.S.-led bombing campaign, saying that the missiles are only hitting “earth.” But late Tuesday, U.S. jets bombed Taliban front-line positions north of Kabul, a Northern Alliance spokesman said.
