CSUCI Eligible for Accreditation Process

Cal State Channel Islands has cleared its first hurdle in gaining accreditation from the Western Assn. of Schools and Colleges.
University officials learned this week that the campus near Camarillo is eligible to begin seeking accreditation, the first step in a process that takes at least six years.
Planners will prepare a presentation detailing the university’s developing academic programs.
The Western Assn. of Schools and Colleges is one of six regional groups that monitor the academic quality and educational effectiveness of public and private schools in the United States.
