San Fernando 3, Venice 2--Elva Alvarez’s run-scoring double in the seventh inning provided the game-winner at San Fernando.
Julie Jimenez (6-2) earned the win in relief.
San Pedro 8, Taft 1--Jillian Johnson allowed 12 hits and Taft (16-10) lost to No. 1-seeded San Pedro (24-3) at San Pedro.

Birmingham 11, Garfield 0--Melissa Santana (9-5) threw a no-hitter, struck out eight and walked one for the Patriots at Birmingham.
Valerie Montenegro was four for five with three runs batted in and scored twice for Birmingham (19-10), which hosts Van Nuys in a quarterfinal Thursday.
Silvia Rivera was four for four with one RBI and scored twice.
Huntington Park 9, North Hollywood 2--The Spartans scored nine runs in the fourth inning at North Hollywood (8-9).
