In the Academy League:
St. Margaret’s wins--Jocelyn Parkinson and Ligaya Lange each won three events and Shannon Holato won two to help St. Margaret’s win its fourth consecutive girls’ league title, beating second-place Downey Calvary Chapel, 200-167.
In the boys’ meet, St. Margaret’s Omar Shaban broke the school record in the 300 hurdles with a time of 17.3, and Chris Ostoich’s pole vault of 13-0 was the top mark in Division IV this year.
St. Margaret’s finished second to Downey Calvary Chapel, 151-143.
In the Century League:
Davis leads Falcons--Crystal Davis led Santa Ana Valley with victories in the girls’ 100 (11.8), 200 (25.2) and long jump (17-0) and ran a leg on the winning 400 relay team (49.5).
The Falcons scored 141 points, Foothill had 126 and El Modena 119.
Foothill edged El Modena in the boys’ competition, 128-127 1/2. Sophomore Mike Liti won the 110 hurdles in 14.7 and the 300 hurdles in 40.3 for the Knights.
In the Serra League:
Zeitler leads Eagles--Santa Margarita senior Sean Zeitler won the 110 hurdles in 15.0, the 300 hurdles in 38.92 and was on the winning 400 relay (43.13) and 1,600 relay (3:21.00) teams for Santa Margarita, which scored 96 points to win the team title over Bellflower St. John Bosco (87) and Mater Dei (51).
Santa Margarita also won the girls’ title, scoring 90 points to defeat Mater Dei (83) and Rosary (46).
Emily Kalmbach won the 200 in 26.22 and the 400 in 59.26 for Santa Margarita.
