In the Empire League:
No. 9 Cypress 6, Kennedy 5--Chad Halbert (4-1) gave up three hits and struck out eight for host Cypress (17-7, 8-5).
Katella 4, Loara 0--David Hanger (4-1) pitched a two-hitter and Keith Smith had two RBIs for the Knights (17-7, 10-3).
In the Freeway League:
Troy 4, No. 4 Sonora 2--Adam Manassero (4-7) pitched a five-hitter and had three RBIs for host Troy (10-13, 5-8). Jacob Mendrin had a two-run double in the third for Sonora (21-3, 12-1).
In the Golden West League:
Westminster 10, Saddleback 8--Danny Valadez gave up one hit and struck out five in 4 1/3 innings of relief for Westminster (18-2, 10-1), which clinched its second consecutive league title.
In the Olympic League:
Calvary Chapel 7, Cerritos Valley Christian 4--Host Calvary Chapel (13-10, 7-1) clinched the league title. Joe Carrier had a home run and earned the save, getting a strikeout and double-play grounder with the bases loaded in the seventh inning.
In the Orange League:
Savanna 22, Western 9 (6, mercy)--Mark Benjamin (2-2) had six RBIs for the Rebels (9-15, 8-5).
In the South Coast League:
No. 10 San Clemente 7, No. 6 Trabuco Hills 1--Nate Moser hit a three-run homer in the fifth for the Tritons (17-7, 8-5). Trabuco Hills is 18-6, 9-4.
In the Sunset League:
No. 1 Esperanza 10, Los Alamitos 3--A.J. Shappi (9-1) went the distance, striking out eight, and sophomore Rick Taloa hit two homers, giving him six this season, for the host Aztecs (21-3, 12-1).
